Ashford Mediation Service has been given your name, contact details and information relevant to your case by the referral agency; or by you or your parent or guardian. While the mediation case is open we will use this information to make appointments with you and to keep you informed.
All your personal information is stored securely. We will not share your personal information with anyone outside the Mediation Service without your permission unless we hear of a risk of serious harm.
We retain your details for up to 3 years, after which time records are securely destroyed.
- You have a right to obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- You have a right to ‘be forgotten’ (subject to restrictions under law) which means you can ask for information we hold about you to be deleted from our records once your case is closed.
- You have the right to complain to the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) if you think there is a problem with the way we are handling your data.
